Manchester United’s midfielder, Paul Scholes believes the Red Devils can’t afford to have any more slip ups, if they are to win the Premier League title.
United are currently sitting in the second spot in the Premier League table and are trailing league leaders Manchester City by two points.
However, just when everyone believed the team would step up their performances, they seem to have taken a step back.
The Red Devils took on Norwich this past weekend, in a game that was supposed to be a walk in the park for the team. However, United managed to win the game in the 92nd minute, after a gruelling encounter and a rather poor display on the pitch.
The team is not set to take on Tottenham Hotspur this coming weekend, as the look to close in on Manchester City.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 believes that the team can’t perform in the same manner that they did against Norwich, since they might not end up being as lucky as they were against them.
Scholes, when talking about the team’s upcoming games and describing just how the team needs to play is quoted to have said: "There is no point drawing games so we were throwing everyone forward going for that goal, and I am sure we will do the same thing
again"
"Of course, three points instead of one is a big difference. That is what we are here to do.”
"We realise we may have to win every game to win the league, but we are ready and prepared to do that. Hopefully, we can do it."
United have constantly been on the heels of Manchester City this season, but over the last couple of weeks, both the teams seem to have become rather unbeatable.
They have both managed to put up some very impressive performances in the league and it is still impossible to predict just who is going to end up winning the league this season.
Nonetheless, if United continue to pick up wins over the remainder of the season, they are bound to catch up to City, who are more than likely to have at least one bad game in the coming weeks.
