Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney believes Manchester City can contest for Premier League crown
Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 has gone on to admit that United’s arch rivals, Manchester City can actually compete for the Premier League crown, this coming season.
Having not won any trophy in over thirty years, City went on to beat Stoke City in the FA Cup final last season and put an end to that drought. However, according to Rooney, the team is bound to go one up on their efforts this coming season and contest for top honours.
The forward is convinced that the signings that the team have made and are looking to make, will only make them stronger than they have ever been and hence cause them to become a force to be reckoned with.
Rooney, when talking about the upcoming season is quoted to have said: "There are at least five or six teams who will compete for the championship this year, among them Manchester City"
"But in the Premier League, more than in any other country, you have to work hard even when you face teams that are at the bottom of the table."
Rooney then turned his attention to talking about clubs that he enjoyed watching, as he talked about Real Madrid, Barcelona and the brilliance of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296.
"Apart from Manchester, there is no doubt: Real Madrid and Barcelona. They have so many talented players, there is always the chance of a great spectacle," he added.

Rooney then highlighted his favourite Serie A players of all time, as he talked about two AC Milan greats.

Rooney seems to finally have come to the conclusion, that City are no longer the pushovers they once were. The team has brought in some brilliant players and on paper, they might even be stronger than United.
