Manchester United’s bid for Samir Nasri gets rejected by Arsenal – Premier League Update
According to numerous sources, Manchester United finally went ahead with a bid for Arsenal midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360, only to get turned down by the Gunners.
The Red Devils are reported to have bid twenty million pounds for the French international, but their cheeky attempt to landing the midfield maestro didn’t float the Gunners boat and forced them to formally reject the offer.
Based on what these sources have stated, the offer for Nasri was made a couple of weeks ago, but was revealed to the world only recently. Nonetheless, this rejection has now left United pondering over a new twenty five million pound bid for the midfielder.
United seem to be on a roll in the transfer window this season. The team has gone on to sign three players, which include http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463. However, they don’t seem to be satisfied as yet and will be pursuing Nasri till the very
last day of the transfer window.
Nasri is now set to enter the final year of his contract with the Gunners. This means that if the player isn’t sold this summer and he refuses to pen an extension at the club, he might just end up walking out for free.
The midfielder was in fine form last term, having scored ten goals for the team in thirty appearances in the Premier League. In fact, some are even considering Nasri to be Arsenal’s player of the season from last term. The French international managed to
make the Players Football Association team of the year and that just goes to show how good the player really was.
United are not alone in their hunt for the highly talented player. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester City are also closely pursuing the Arsenal attacker and are hoping for United to suffer a slip up, so they can sneak in and try to seal the deal.
It is a mystery as to what is going on at the Emirates this season. The Gunners have already lost the services of Gael Clichy and are now looking all the more likely to miss out on Nasri and Fabregas. At the same time, they refuse to spend in the transfer
window, which leads us to wonder just what is going on with the team.
The board and manager really need to get their act together, or they might just end up causing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 to fall from grace, with nowhere to go.
