Manchester United’s former defender, Gary Neville, wants Paul Scholes to play for another season

There have been reports that Paul Scholes, who is considered as the best midfielder of his generation, will finally hang up his boots after helping Manchester United to become the most successful English club by winning the record 19th Premier League title.

Neville told the reporters, “Having watched him, I would say carry on. If I had been playing at the ability level he reaches and making the contribution he still makes in games, I would have done. But Paul is his own man”.
Garry Neville, who retired in February, wants Scholes to follow in the footsteps of Ryan Giggs, who will be seen in action at Manchester United next season.

But Paul knows what he is going to do. He is experienced. He knows his own body and how he is feeling physically and mentally. Personally, I would like him play forever because he is just a joy to watch".
