Sir Alex terms F.A’s decision against Luis Suarez as the correct one as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 maintain their support for their Uruguayan striker...
Luis Suarez has been fined 40,000 pounds and banned for eight days after F.A found him guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 when both he clubs played each other earlier on in the season at Anfield.
Suarez and Evra clashed on several occasions during the match and their conflict boiled over in the end. F.A took notice of the abuse in the end after Evra made it public that Suarez had abused him in racial sense during the match.
Suarez has already declared his innocence and has pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him but Liverpool’s appeal against F.A’s decision can either result in a complete dismissal of charges or it can also produce
an extension of the original ban.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 stated earlier on that he had nothing to say on the matter when he was asked about it in a press conference but the Scotsman has now declared that, "Our support of Patrice was obvious right from the word go and that's
still the same. The matter is over and I think we're satisfied that they [the FA's independent commission] found the right decision. This wasn't about Manchester United and Liverpool at all. It was nothing to do with that. This was an individual situation
where one person was racially abused."
He added that earlier on in 2008, Patrice Evra was suspended for an incident at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 when no-one was there in the ground to watch the incident, due to his antics at Stamford Bridge; Evra was banned for four matches and United
had to wait for two weeks to see the verdict. Ferguson stated, "We were quite astounded at that. A four-match ban? We thought it was well over the top for a trivial incident. But it happened and there's nothing you can do about it, you know. However Liverpool
remain adamant in their support of Suarez as they wore t-shirts with Suarez’s name on the back to signify their support for the former Ajax striker.
