  2. Not the Manchester -Reading way, that would be very slow. Manchester-Watford is far faster, and then catch the RailAir link from there. There is no direct service, but the journey is relatively simple.

  3. Simple and straight forward.

  4. There are a couple of ways some mentioned already.

    1) Manchester - Euston, tube to Paddington - Heathrow Express would be the easiest by most expensive.

    2) Manchester - Euston, tube to Hammersmith (pink line Hammersmith and city), then tube to Heathrow (Piccadily purple line)

    3) Manchester - Watford Junction, Rail - Bus Link to Heathrow.

    4) Manchester to Euston, tube to Paddington, then local service to Windsor, then Taxi to Airport.

Unfortunatley Heathrow is not served by any Main Line Rail Services but Heathrow Express (which is a rip off, but very very quick).

Sorry cant be much more help.  Dont forget to check at your local station for cheap tickets, times and leave yourself plenty of time to get there just in case of problems (especially if using the tube)

  5. The Reading route's not that slow. What I'd do is take the Manchester - Reading train, then switch to the local train from Reading to Paddington (usually shown on the monitors as to Ealing Broadway) and get off at Hayes & Harlington. From there you can catch the Heathrow Connect train into the airport, but it's quite expensive - what I'd usually do instead is go to the bus stop by the station entrance and catch a 140 bus, which gets to Heathrow in about 15 minutes and only costs 90p if you've an Oyster card.

  6. yes you can ... best thing though is to avoid having to cross london ..

so get the manchester - reading train and change onto the reading - heathrow railair coach
