The burly City forward, had a row with his Serbian team mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandar-Kolarov-c4475 during a Premier League game on Saturday, with both the players seen exchanging some heated words.
Despite the ugly event, Mancini came out in support of his volatile player and reiterated his position that he remains an important part of the City’s run-in to the season.
The Italian player is also reported to have created some disagreements with other members of his team, which has given birth to some speculations that the Eastland club might contemplate the option of selling him in the summer.
When asked whether he was considering off-loading the striker at the end of the season, Mancini shrugged aside the idea and mentioned that the player remains a part of his future plans for the club.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 said, “I am frustrated because sometimes I think it is not possible that a player with his class and his technique can play a game like this. I think he is young and I hope for him he can improve very quickly for his future.”
Earlier, the 47 year old had admitted that he has got problems in trusting Balotelli, as the player has been guilty of disciplinary breaches on a number of occasions. When asked to comment on the player’s brawl with his team mate during the game against
the Black Cats, the City boss termed his behaviour as totally unacceptable and non-professional.
“This was a bad moment, I think a professional player can't do what they did in that moment, when we were losing 3-1.”
The incident occurred in the second half when Balotelli took the ball away from Kolarov, after City were given a free-kick. Both the players exchanged a few words as tempers flared and the City skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 had to step in to diffuse the tension.
City trailed 3-1 in the second half during the game but Mancini’s side were able to salvage a point right at the death, after Balotelli and Kolarov scored two late goals. However, the draw enabled Manchester United to open up a five point lead over the Citizens.
Despite the result against Sunderland, Mancini remained hopeful of a title win and was aware that his side needs to win their remaining seven games to secure the title.
“The message is always the same - we will do everything to win this title…We have seven games - 21 points. I think with 92 points we will win the title.”
