Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini believes that Manchester United will win the league title, despite their slip up against Wigan Athletic.
Both City and United played last night, with City taking on West Brom and United facing Wigan.
Going into the game, City were trailing United by eight points and with the title race seemingly being over.
Once the games ended, City went on to pick up three points, following their four goals to nil win. On the other hand, Wigan went on to shock everyone as they beat United by one goal to nil.
As a result of the matches, City are now back on track with just five points separating them from United.
Despite the point difference between the two teams being reduced to just five, Mancini still feels that United will go on and claim the league title.
When talking about the situation and just what he thought would happen over the remainder of the season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 is quoted to have said: “I think the title is still over because United are a fantastic team and I don’t think they can lose five points”

“I will fight every day and so will my team, but I think it’s too late. I think United have fantastic spirit, we don’t have the same spirit.”

“For us it’s important to finish the season well. It’s been a good season for us, our best since 1968 when Manchester City won the championship.”
The Italian manager then went on to mention that he had no idea that United were also playing and that is why he was a little surprised to see the fans cheering throughout the course of the game.
He added: “I thought United were playing tomorrow, I only found out after the game [that they lost tonight]. I didn’t know why our fans were excited.”
Both the teams from Manchester are set to play each other before the month ends. Should City manage to win all their games till that point and then go on and beat United, their point difference could be cut down to just two points, or even less, should United
suffer any more slip ups.
