Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 feels that his team went on to lose to Real Madrid due to their poor defending, and inability to contain the Madrid attackers.
The match kicked off with both the teams going toe to toe. Early on, Madrid dominated the match early on in the offensive department, while City seemed to be rather confident just holding their lines.
In the second half, Dzeko went on to score the opening goal of the game, which gave City the shock lead in the game. Soon after, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 went on to score for Madrid, to level things out in the game.
The match then went into overdrive as Kolarov found the back of the net with a free kick. This was then followed by a swift equaliser by Madrid’s second half substitute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350.
Right in the death of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699.
Once the referee blew the whistle, Madrid went on to claim all three points, mainly due to a very late surge shown by the team.
Mancini has gone on to express his disappointment over the loss, but feels that his defence could have performed a little better in the given situation.
"We are so disappointed because when you are winning 2-1 with five minutes to go in the Bernabeu, you think maybe that you can't lose, but this is football.”

"We didn't lose concentration, we went too deep with the team and this is the only mistake.”

"I think that we went too deep throughout the team and we conceded more space for them and I think that this was a mistake.”

"At the moment we are disappointed but I think that everything will help us to be stronger in the future."
Mancini also feels that his side were a little unlucky to see the game end the way it did, since they did perform rather well till the last twenty minutes of the game.
Nonetheless, City will now need to learn from their mistakes and come back even stronger in their next game.
