Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to claim that his side can eventually go on to win the UEFA Champions League, and that it is only a matter of time before they become European Champions.
The Manchester based club are now going to be heading into their second Champions League campaign, as they look to establish their names as being one of the biggest teams in the world.
However, with their group consisting of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, things aren’t going to be very easy for the team this time around.
Roberto Mancini is confident of the fact that his side will face a very tough test this season, but he feels confident of his squad and feels that the club will win the completion eventually.
“If you drive a Ferrari you can win, if you drive a Fiat Cinquecento, probably not," Mancini told reporters.
"In the past we have been working [towards winning the Champions League]. I think we beat good teams but we have played together for two years and we needed time.”
"I am sure we will arrive to win this trophy in the future. I do not know when, but I am sure because we are working for this.”
"If we want to improve every year it is possible."
Last season, City went on to perform rather poorly. The team got knocked out of the competition in the group stages, and were then knocked out of the Europa League in a similar manner.
This time around, things won’t get any easier, but with the team now having ample experience and practice of playing in such a competitive league, they are bound to end up performing even better than they did last time around.
"I think it was a good experience last year - we did a good group but it was not enough," http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 added.
"I think it is important now that we go to the second stage. After February anything can happen, but now it is difficult to say what we can do."
It is now a wait to see just how the blue side of Manchester performs in this seasons European competition.
