Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to express his disappointment over the way his side played in their game against Borussia Dortmund last night.
The match saw City take the defensive early on, as Dortmund went on to bombard the home side with a series of attacks. These attacks were kept out by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699, who was playing one of the best games of his life. However, despite his best efforts, he eventually
allowed Dortmund to score a goal.
Late on in the game, when it looked like City would lose their second consecutive Champions League game, they were awarded a penalty. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 went on to convert the spot kick, and this helped the team salvage a point from the match.
Despite the match ending as a draw, Mancini was amongst the first few to point out that the performance by his team, if anything was rather disappointing. The manager feels the team need to improve a whole lot more, and really need to prove their worth in
the coming weeks, or they could get knocked out of the contest once again.
"We didn’t play well because Borussia Dortmund played better than us. I think probably in this moment they are a better team than us. If we want to play at the top level in the Champions League, we need to run more than tonight.”

"We need to run, fight for every ball. It is not enough to have a good pass sometimes in the Champions League. The Champions League is another situation, totally different from the championship, for every team. And we need to fight. We need to run. It is not
enough to have just a good quality."
Even though many critics were surprised with Dortmund’s form, Mancini admitted that he expected nothing by the best from the German side, which is why he wasn’t too surprised with the way they were playing.
"I knew before the game that it is difficult because Borussia Dortmund used to play Champions League every year, is more experienced than us," he added.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and his men now need to step their game up, and prove just what they are made of, or they could be on their way out of the Champions League.
