Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 feels that his team can go on and become as big a name as Real Madrid, over the course of the next decade.
At the moment, Manchester City are not even considered to be in the same league as Real Madrid, given the amount of titles that the Spanish side have won over the course of their illustrious career.
However, with City set to travel to Madrid and take them on in the Champions League, the manager feels that his team can start climbing up the ladder with a win over the Spaniards, but could be somewhere near the same level as them, within the next ten years.
Despite Mancini’s claims, Jose Mourinho recently went on to claim that City could not buy their way into becoming one of the best teams out there, and that it would take a whole lot more for the team to move forward.
Roberto Mancini, when talking about his team and their future is reported to have said: "It's clear we don’t have the history like Real Madrid but Manchester City have won some trophies.”

"We want to win now. In the next 10 years we'll be a top team like Real."
The manager also went on to talk about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, as he feels that despite all the rumours linking him with a move to City, it would be best if people just left him alone.
"If they leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-c9622 at home it’s better," the City boss continued.

"Players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 are difficult to mark, these are players that score every game.”

"It's difficult because at this moment Ronaldo and Messi are the best players in the world."
City are going to be taking on Madrid in their opening game of the Champions League season this term. The team is going to be going into the game looking to make up for their mistakes from last season, when they failed to make it out of the group stages.
Nonetheless, in order for that to happen, the team is going to have to perform at their very best, or they could have another disappointing run in, in the Champions League.
