Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to label his side to being lucky, after they managed to beat Wigan Athletic by two goals to nil in a Premier League match last night.
The match saw both the teams play out a very boring first half, but in the second half, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 went on to score goals for City, which saw the Manchester based club go on and claim all three points from the game.
As a result of that win, City are now sitting only one point behind league leaders Manchester United, who also managed to win their respective game.
However, Mancini doesn’t seem to be too confident despite his side winning the match, as he feels that his team were lucky to have come out on top at the end of the day.
The City boss, when talking about last night’s game is quoted to have said:
"They play with three defenders, two in the channel, so I wanted to put players in the same position"
"We changed [formation] but we were lucky because we scored the first goal and the match changed."
Even though his team went on to produce a very poor performance in the first half, the manager was always certain that his side would be able to turn things around in the second half of the game.
The manager then went on to praise Wigan, as he feels they almost always put up a good fight against City.
"Every year when we play against Wigan its difficult because they play very well," he continued.
Currently, City are the only team that has not gone on to lose a single match in the Premier League. Many feel that it is this record that is helping the team match the strides that Manchester United have taken this season and that if they manage to go unbeaten
for another couple of games, they could easily overtake United and claim the top spot in the league for themselves.
Nonetheless, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 not being happy with the performances that his side are putting in, he is going to be looking to change things around, which is only going to make City perform even better.
