Manchester City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez and Sergio Aguero.
Following their impressive partnership and displays last season, the two of them have gone on to impress in the pre season once again.
Both the forwards went on to find the back of the net, as the team beat the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Malaysia-c2949 XI by three goals to one and the way things are going, City could be in line to defend their Premier League crown.
When talking about how confident his strikers make him feel and how well the two of them have been performing, the Italian manager is reported to have said: “We were confident two weeks ago and I'm even more confident today. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 played very well and
his partnership with Carlos has continued from last season.”
"They scored a goal each today which is good. Sergio also played in the wide position today but still produced the goods. Hopefully we can continue his good form in the coming season."
The manager then went on to talk about the knock that team captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 picked up. Mancini insisted that the injury is not a serious one and the Belgian international should be up and running in a couple of days.
However, just to be safe the defender is going to have a couple of scans before he is given the green light to participate in the team’s matches again.
Mancini added: “It's nothing serious. He had a scan and should be fit to play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charity-c38784 Shield in two weeks' time.”
"I'm happy we didn't have any injuries today despite playing two matches in four days. It is difficult but the players are alright now."
City’s pre season has been going rather well, with the team managing to perform in almost every game.
Mancini seems to have struck a balance in his squad and if his forwards can manage to link up with one another, then they are guaranteed to follow up on the brilliant displays that they put up last season.
It is now a wait to see whether the team can retain the Premier League title or not.
