Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to hit out at Kevin Friend and the way he refereed his sides game against Sunderland.
City took on the Black Cats in a mid week fixture, and following a nerve racking performance from both the teams, City went on to lose the game by one goal to nil.
Former Manchester City player Adam Johnson found the back of the net. However, Mancini feels that the referee failed to do his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022 should have had a free
kick awarded to him, due to a challenge made on him by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Gardner-c9475 during the build up play which ultimately led to the goal being scored.
What has made Mancini even more furious, is the fact that the loss now sees his side sit a massive seven points behind league leaders Manchester City, who have gone on to establish a rather decent lead at the top of the table.
When talking about the game and the way that the officials seemed to adjudicate it, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 is reported to have said: "The referee ate too much for Christmas. He was not in good form"
"He and the linesman, I think, after Christmas, it can happen to have a bad performance like today."
Sunderland’s manager, Martin O’Neil felt otherwise and instead of talking about the referees, he went on to talk about just how good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 was in the game.
O’Neil feels that Johnson had a brilliant game and that he deserved to score his third league goal for the team in the game.
“Today I thought he was excellent. It was good for him to score against his former team. He looked surprised that he’d scored the goal. He wasn’t sure whether it had gone in," said O’Neil.

“For one so slim he’s actually got a fantastic shot on him and I think if he could get into those type of positions a wee bit more often but he’s striving to do that.”
