Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 to step up to the plate and start putting in some match winning performances once again.
City paid a massive twenty four million pounds to sign the midfielder from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, and his transfer was considered to be one of the biggest moves to take place in the Premier League.
The midfielder went on to make a big impact in his debut season for City, but since then he has gone on to move downhill.
His performances are nowhere near the level that they used to be and that is something that Mancini has gone on to identify.
The Italian manager, when talking about the midfielder is reported to have said: “In my opinion, we are talking about a top, top player"
“If he wants, he can change [the course of] every game. But I think he can do better. He’s played some good games for us, but he can do better because he has got everything.”
The French international has managed to score only one goal in his last thirteen appearances for the club, and that is rather low for a player of Nasri’s calibre.
Mancini hinted that the midfielder was carrying an injury, which could have been the reason for him not playing to the best of his abilities. However, with him now finally returning to full fitness, he is bound to improve his performances even further.
He said: “Samir has had a problem with his calf in the last two games, but he’s fit now.”
“And I always wait for him to play a fantastic game, as he can do this.”
“When I say this, we are talking about a player like Nasri or Yaya Toure, or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601.”
City are in desperate need for someone to step up to the plate and start putting in those match winning performances that the team used to see their players put in last season.
Nonetheless, with Mancini now finally identifying room for improvement in Nasri’s performances, it is a wait to see just how long the player takes to step up to the plate.
