Mancini wants change in attitude
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says his players must change their attitudes if the club is going to be successful.
Mancini took the managerial position at the club last year and has been made to endure a lot of dressing room dissent. Craig Bellamy, Stephen Ireland [before they left], Emanuel Adebayor and Shay Given
have all spoken out against the manager.
The Italian accepts the frustrations of players because Manchester City has a large and diverse squad. However, he says success will never be achieved unless the club is united.
There are many dangers if a club has a number of players with poor attitudes. However, this could be a product of the financial backing that was brought to the club in 2007.
Many dangers
If players have negative attitudes and show dissent towards the manager then it means they are less willing to give everything for the team. Manchester City is a top club but will never be successful while
the club can't win the difficult matches where players have to try harder.

It's difficult for a manager to keep control of a squad that is filled with so many good players. Manchester City is spoilt for choice and any manager would find it difficult to keep every player happy.
Two or three great players in every position means that someone is going to be unhappy.
There are plenty of players that can do a good job for Manchester City. However, a poor attitude can alienate the manager and a perfectly good player will be forced to leave the club as a result.
Mancini said: "I played football. Sometimes I had this behaviour. I can understand it, so it is not frustrating for
me. But at the same time it is important they start to change their mentality. If they want to become a top squad and a top team they must change it."
Financial backing
Sheikh Mansour invested heavily in Manchester City back in 2007. Many pundits agree that dissent and poor attitudes in the game is a result of the increased money now circulating
around football.
Extra finances enabled Manchester City to go and buy any player the manager desired. The club already had hard working and honest players. These players get ignored and
dissent grows. This cycle happens every time the club buys new players and means it could be a long time before every player at the club is happy.
Mancini added: "It is impossible that every three days players do interviews
complaining that they are not playing. They need to knock on my door and speak with me so I can explain the situation.
The players must be aware I am not choosing 11 players because the others are not good. I want to create an atmosphere like at Chelsea and Manchester United."
Betting advice
Manchester City is a very good football team and the club has started the season in good form. The club has a great chance of finishing inside the top four so have a bet
on this happening.
The team is good enough to beat any other side in England. Back Manchester City to win on a game to game basis. This will provide a chance to cash in on a spell of good
form. Bet in play when City plays the bigger sides in the Premier League.
There are a number of players that will do well this season. Carlos Tevez is a great bet to be top scorer at the club and in the Premier League by the end of the season.
James Milner, Gareth Barry, Yaya Toure and David Silva can all score from open play at any time.
