Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to urge the club to try and make a few signings before the transfer window closes, as he feels the team could use a couple of new faces.
The transfer window is set to close on Friday, and so far the Manchester based club have only gone on to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019.
Considering the way City spent the cash in the previous transfer windows, it is rather amazing to see them not go over the top this time around.
Currently, the team is being linked with a move for Swansea forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scott-Sinclair-c32675, but that deal is still in the works.
City are believed to have offered a fee of around seven million pounds for the attacker, but it is going to be up to Swansea to decide what they want to do.
When talking about what the team needs to do, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 is quoted to have said: "We need to bring players in and we have five days in which to do it”
"We have to work hard for these four or five days. It will be a very long week for us.”
“We have our targets and we must go for them”
The manager was also quite disappointed with the result that his team produced against Liverpool, this past Sunday. The manager feels his team didn’t retain the ball properly and then stated that the free kick that his team conceded was not justified. He
also compared the free kick to a penalty that was given against his side in the League Cup final last season, and felt that it was like watching a re-run of that incident.
"It was not a penalty then and it was not a free kick now," he added.
"We played very well in the first 30 minutes and you should score in these moments, if you want to win a game at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809."
With a couple of days to go before the window closes, it is going to be interesting to see just who City bring in.
The team has been linked with a number of players, but so far, there isn’t any clear indication over who might join the team.
