if them and there partner, are unable to prove they are fit parents

most criminal had problem in childhood, abusive parents, poverty etc so i think there should be guidlines in place, so only people who are able to propley care for child can have one, i reckon that if we did this there would be a drop in crime in the near future, i will also get rid of these scummy familys, living off child support.

and NO i dont care about the morality off abortion, murder or not its for the best in some cases

  1. I am pro-life & sure as h**l would not dream of aborting any of my children.

  2. No, but violent and abusive criminals should be sterilised. And it should be made less attractive for people on long-term welfare to have kids e.g. no more jumping to the top of the housing queue and being given a nice shiny new free 2 bedroom flat while the rest of us have to make do with pokey bedsits we pay 1/2 our salary towards.

  3. No way to your question! Have a blessed day.

  4. All of the glaring ridiculousness of your question aside, one of the most obvious things that your question has flagged up, to me at least, is who would choose who are fit parents and who are not.  Adolf Hitler chose who he felt were fit and unfit to have children, and went on to order the murder or sterilization of more than 470,000 of those he felt were "life unworthy of life", who he felt should be removed from the gene pool.  These included people with mental health problems (and please bear in mind that 1/4 people will at some point in their life suffer a mental illness in one form or another), people with a cognitive impairment/developmental disorder, the poor, homosexual and the weak.

I am always concerned when someone who is as clearly poorly educated as you goes on to make suggestions for the betterment of the human race.  You always fail to see the irony in the situation.  Going by your own rules, you would have been aborted yourself, because your "question" is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, which would not be present in someone who had been "properly cared for".

To suggest that you would get rid of "scummy families living off child support" is incoherently ludicrous.  There are enormous political reasons as to why a one-parent family would have child support, not least of all the numerous and varied ways that sexism manifests itself in modern society.  In the US currently a woman makes 77c for every $1 that a man makes, for the same job, and she is less likely than a man to be promoted, and to be considered for promotion generally has to prove herself through performance ratings, something which is less true for men.  Not to mention the unspoken rules that many companies have about not employing women of childbearing age "in case they leave to have children", and women getting fired from their jobs for becoming pregnant.  It is hard for a single woman to find a job that will pay her enough to pay for childcare while she is at work, because of the innate sexism that is still present in society.  Women work, generally, less skilled jobs than men, but this does not mean that they *choose* the less skilled jobs, it often is just that these are all that are available to them in their social position.

I am amazed I'm going to so much effort to answer you, to be honest.

I will just say that enforced sterilization has been routinely practiced in varying countries including not only n**i Germany, but also America, Canada, Japan, many European countries, and even as recently as 1990-2000 in Peru with the forced sterilization of many indigenous peoples.  It is now recognized as a crime against humanity, and rightly so.

And to say that you "don't care" about the morality of abortion, you've asked a question about ethics, so to say you don't care about ethics demonstrates again that you are clearly one of the people who would be removed in your own new world order.

*eta Everyone who is saying about "violent and abusive criminals" etc, until the judicial system actually *works*, you can't make statements like this!  There are SO MANY cases of people being hanged for crimes they didn't commit because the judiciary is a total joke!  There are too many problems in modern society as it stands to even consider these ridiculous penalties, without first acknowledging and dealing with the enormous and numerous faults that are already present.

  5. That's a great idea. But how do they know those "Seemingly Perfect Parents" will actually be a perfect parent, and not have something snap in their brain during one of their child's temper tantrums. Anybody can be a "bad parent" if they are fed up enough.

  6. um no..thats crazy. Once you start taking away people's rights and where does it stop?

You cant blame crime on people's family situations. Criminals can come from good homes just as easily.

  7. If that was the case my Little 2 year old Daughter who is MY life would not be here. I may not be perfect I make a few mistake but I don't abuse her and she is well cared for and protected. I am raising her ALONE NO family support NO child support ALONE.

Now what you want to do is make me have a mandatory abortion? why just because i am a single mom? why does that concern YOU?

YES some parents are NOT the best just look at my parents. they SUCKED at being parents. should they have aborted me because they were the worse parents in the world? I turned out OK I am NOT perfect but who is?

As for crimes in the future. can you see into the future? can you see if all the kids from single parents turning to crime? or from WELL to do families turning to crime?

Sorry but this is just a silly idea.

ADD ON: Just wanted to say I am a single mom but I did NOT set out to be a mom let alone a single mom. I made an HONEST mistake ONE time. and I have taken MY responsibility for it. and I am a much better person now. if you would have saw me before my daughter was born I was a good person. but I was selfish and stupid. but after having my daughter I am a better person. who has grown up a lot. so you can't judge a person just by looking at them. it's what in their hearts that matters. and who can tell who will be good parents? only the parents and God knows that.

  8. That's called "eugenics" and it's sick.  First of all, which moron gets to decide who is a "proper" parent?  For example, I believe strongly that imposing religion on pre-rational children is child abuse, so, therefore if I get to be the demi-god for the day we'd abort all babies of Christians and Muslims.  Or, if, let's say, I think marijuana is a healthier recreational drug than booze, which it is, we then abort all the pregnancies of people who drink beer.  The "scummy" families are those families who lust to impose their putrid pet set of sensibilities on everyone else.

  9. No. Choice is important.

Bad parents have their children taken away. It's a burden on society, but we can't force people to abort.

  10. No but we shouldn't be providing as many incentives and safety nets, we should all be responsible for our actions. Even women.

  11. Forced? Im prolife....but i even agree with pro choice ppl over what you are talking about. At least they give the option of choice. what you suggest is barbaric in every sense of the word...not only does it take away the childs right to life..but it also takes away the woman's right too.

  12. Those who are unfit to be parents should be screened for (to the fullest extent of secular law) and an expert medical review board should make a decision about whether they are suitable parents.

The decision of the board should be passed to regulatory bodies which can then exact measure to ensure that such individuals cannot be in a position to endanger the welfare of infants or children (no differerent than s*x offenders).

Mandatory abortion would be unreasonable as it would consitute cruel and unusual punishment per US Code.

  13. No, but there has been a long on going joke in the Education world that people should have to have a license before being able to have a kid.  Its just a joke though.  I would question anyone who truly believes this.

  14. No.

    Cheers :-)

  15. That's called eugenics, in case you were wondering.

  16. Mandatory abortion?  NO.

    That's like asking,

    "Should kidney donation be forced?"

  17. NO WAY!

We don't want a totalitarian state

  18. No.  It is impossible to tell in advance who is going to be a good parent and who isn't.  All sorts of parents turn out to be abusive, regardless of circumstances.

And I don't believe that all criminals came from abusive or impoverished backgrounds.  There are plenty of criminals who came from well-off backgrounds, fraudsters, embezzlers etc.  There is no way of telling in advance whether a person may be criminal or not.

What you are advocating is eugenics, which does not work.

  19. no...its unlawful... besides killing your own child??? that's evil... that's immoral

  20. what about the child's right to life? my parents are foster parents and i see some extremely F**Ked up kids... but that by no way means i think they don't deserve a life... i think their parents should be chemically castrated... like pedos... because they are just as harmful if not more to child as a pedophile is.

i do agree if there was no child in the crime rate would drop but idon'tt agree that you should abort... i think you should cut it off b4 it even gets that far.. if they were castrated they would never get pregnant and there would be no child to abort...

i think that there is a remarkable difference between 3 siblings we have... a 7yr old girl, 3 year old boy and 8 month old boy... she is a spoilt, bossy, rude, has major disciplinary issues and she is a massive bully.... shes grade two and has already been suspended twice... she was with her parents untill she was 4.... the 3 year old who was only with his family for a matter of weeks has behaviouralal issues aswell but none as marked as his sister, but the 3 yr old has definate health issues... he is intolerant to mosts foods and almost every food which comes from an animal.... and the 8 month old was taken before she could even breast feed... the doctors say he has cerebral palsy... and even though i see the issues their parents gave them i still think they deserve life.... but their parents sould NOT be allowed to have children if the wont get off their drugs and realise how much they have damaged their kids.... that little girl will never get over the rejection and shame she feels every time her mother chooses drugs and her pedo drug dealing bf over her own children

  21. No.

No one can be obligated to have a medical intervention of any kind.

    No.

    No.

  22. I have to say this is one of the most ridiculous things i've heard here..

The slippery slope that could arise from this is far too dangerous to even consider.

you cannot arbitrarily disenfranchise or remove rights based upon subjective screening..

Who are you going to screen? It has to be every single woman having a baby for a start which is a logistical nightmare considering many of those "unfit" parents won't be advertising their pregnancy to the government. So will it become a law to register if you're pregnant?

As I say its absurd to even consider

  23. erm what your saying is pants.

  24. legislation already exists to remove children from dangerous parent's. your system of screening would not necessarily be any better than the existing one but your punishment is utterly barbaric.
