ya mandsaur is situated in western part of madhya pradesh having been known as dashpur as its old name. it has world famous lord pashupatinath temple. we have only two pashupatinath temple in world one at nepal and the second one is at mandsaur (m.p). the difference between two is that the shivlinga at nepal has four faces whereas shivlinga at mandsaur has eight faces. shivlinga of mandsaur has been associted  with the era of king yashodharman. this city has religious significance and known for its opium production also. major cities connected to this city are indore,ratlam.it is a district place also connected with road and rail links very well.
