Mane and tail?

i was just wondering when you give your horse a bath and you use shampo can you use the same shampo that you used on its body on the mane and tail or do you need to use special mane and tail shampo?

"Mane and Tail" is a horse shampoo, but people now use it, it is at the supermarket, and at Drug stores. Very inexpensive..

For the facial area, only use baby soap, otherwise it could irritate their eyes/nose...I used a washcloth on my horses face with warm water, she liked it....

They hate water garden hoses in their face, wouldn't you?  I don't like it when I see people spraying the horses face, it scares them...

Yeah thats what i do, i just use a conditioner on the tail after. You just want to make sure you get all the shampoo and conditioner out. Dont use conditioner on the body, that is a real mess.

Yea you can use mane n tail on the mane, tail and the body....did you know you could also use it for your hair too...

I think it really doesn't matter. You can use the same shampoo on the mane and tail. I do and my horse is still alive. ;)

I use Mane 'n Tail. It's also for their body. You can even use it to shampoo your own hair (there are instructions for human use, lol). The only time I use something else for them is if white parts need to be whitened with blue or purple. Then I use Quicksilver after washing.

i dont see why you wouldnt be able to use the same thing on every part of the horse. hair is hair.

main n tail shampoo was originally for horses back in the day, they used it all over the horse.

You can use the same shampoo on the entire horse. There are "mane and tail" shampoos and conditioners, but unless you are doing shows or something the regular stuff is fine just for cleaning the horse.
