  1. Manga!

i love to read, and the manga is usually waaay better than the anime! lots of the time animes edit stuff out~!

    NARUTO ROX! <fav series

  2. Uhm, I think I've gotta snap a picture of my room for you and the people here.. why? Because my room is full of books and 60% of it is manga! Here's the reason why I like manga more than anime

    1. There's this....feeling... you'll get once you step into my room. You'll see nearly 60 different title of manga in my bookshelves and some of it was complete while the other was waiting for it's 'turn' XD So far, the first place manga series with the most volume in my room is Detective Conan with 61 volume (and the series is still on going). I didn't include the special edition and other edition of the series though. The second place is One Piece (49 volume and on going), Dragon Ball (42 volume, completed), Kung Fu Boy Chinmi (35 volume completed), Slamdunk (31 volume, completed). Uhm, I can go on and on with the list but my point is, it feel much better to see the collection surrounding you than keep it inside the laptop/PC.

    2. I'd rather go out and discover new manga at my local manga outlet and Borders bookstores than sit in front of laptop and browsing for new anime. I don't like read online too, I used to but now I've stopped reading several manga (One Piece) online because I realized being ahead of the time isn't really worth it if you read by clicking next button, it's the anticipation for the next volume every month/couple month was more fun and worth my life! Well, it can be annoying sometimes (the wait) but in a good way XD Ah, I still read online because there's some manga series that haven't translated by my country or come out in English Volume (ie; Liar Game) T,T

    3. I can read the manga anytime I want, anywhere I want! Last night I spend 6 hours straight( 12am - 6am) reading Eyeshield 21 Vol 11-21, that worth every second of my life! XD Ah, I also read it in my car while traffic because sometimes I bring several manga to my university. It's a good way to kill a time XD

    4. The manga is more detailed than anime. There's no way anime can captured all the detail in manga especially if we're talking about One Piece because Oda (the mangaka) has put a lot of 'easter eggs' like Pandaman character hidden in the panel, Tomato gang (Pandaman rival) hidden in the panel,  random character (he often draw something that will be the hint for building up the character development/supporting the current/next/past character in the manga), random places (which also a hint for building up storyline/supporting the current/next/past storyline). Death Note was easier to understand by reading the manga because we can read it over and over again to get/understand the story.

    5. The manga stay true to the original storyline. Uhm, well it's so obvious since it was made by the mangaka/author of the manga. My point is, I prefer supporting the original 'products' because that was what the mangaka loves to do (drawing), they didn't really contribute much in the anime making process. Well they usually give the animator permission to used some filler storyline/character because they worried it'd ruin the original storyline. But hey, most of them was happy to see their manga being animated, so there's nothing wrong to watch anime XD I'm just saying that I feel more close to the series by reading the story because it was made by the original mangaka/author.

    6. I don't have problem to digesting the action in the manga. Most of the times I don't feel the emotion of the anime (eventhough they're animated). I'm not sure why didn't I feel sad for some sad scene, or laughing for some funny scene in the anime like I used to when I read the manga. This was truly the magic of being the mangaka, they can make their drawing comes alive!

    7. I'm not the type of guy who sit in front of TV/Laptop/PC to watch some anime series. I have a LIFE! XD You can do a lot of things while reading manga. You can stop and continue reading anytime you want without doing a lot of work. I mean, I didn't really like to switch on the TV/Laptop/PC, browsing for some channel, streaming website, or wait for the downloading process to complete! I'd just take the manga from my bookshelves and read it how many time I want over and over again!

    8. Which one feel better and sadder, seeing your collection finally complete in real life, holding it in your hand and realize--it's finally over T,T or seing the series end in the TV/Laptop/PC? I remember back in 1999 when I bought Yuyu Hakusho Vol 19 and realized "WTH? This is the last volume? How many years I've spent collecting them?" The same thing happen when Dragon Ball was finished T,T I prefer the series long, I was really devastating couple years ago when I bought and realized Vol 12 is the end for Death Note series! T,T But still, it's still an accomplishment to see some of the series already finished and completed. It'll bring back a lot of memories seeing the series in your room because let say I've been collecting Kung Fu Boy Chinmi from 2000, so it's been 8 years, One Piece and Hunter X Hunter since 2001,(been 7 years, and lets not forget HxH was on hiatus for nearly 2 years), Naruto since 2004-5, (it's been 3 years), and the classic, Dragon Ball and Slamdunk since 1995 (13 years!), Yuyu Hakusho since 1996 (12 years!) What a fun way to goes through your whole life collecting them huh? XD

    9. Urgh, brain dead! I've been answering the similar type of question before but somehow I can't remember what else I put back then. So, I think I'm done here XD

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::...

My favorite series? Uhm, I'm not sure, so I'll list my top collection (the one which annoyed me with the released time)

    1. Hunter X Hunter - I mean, they've got 3 hiatus and one of the hiatus make me waiting for 2 years before the next volume released! Thank god my country finally released Vol 25 (the latest volume released by Japan 4-5 month ago) last Friday. The series wasn't finished their latest arc though, they said the mangaka was sick but I don't really believed that XD p/s This is one of the manga series I read and check online.

    2. Full Metal Alchemist - I bought Volume 17 3-4 month ago and there's still no sign of releasing the next volume yet T,T

    3. Naruto - Well, I bought Volume 35 last week but since I don't read online I will always avoid Naruto question here (because I avoid spoiler). I was so far behind everyone in here when it comes to Naruto, but hey at least it was fun for me. The translated volume was released every 2 month but I think my country will released it each month now which is a good sign.

    4. One Piece - This will be on the second place after the volume finally completed the Thriller Bark arc because sadly T,T I've already complete reading the arc online (because of that d**n onemanga! XD). Now, I've decided to stop reading it online because..uhm, I dunno... I want that 'anticipating' feel back in my life! XD

    5. Eyeshield 21 - Well, I hope the series last longer than Slamdunk because it's looks like it'll be end soon T,T. Actually, I just got back from my local manga outlet and buy Vol 24-28 of Eyeshield 21 and I can't wait to continue the reading process after ruin my bedtime reading the series from Vol 1 couple days ago.

    6. Detective Conan - Uhm Volume 61 was released in 3 month ago, I'm not sure why the series has losing the current schedule. Usually they released it each month but now it's a mess! Sometimes it's 2 month, sometimes 3 and sometimes 4 month! Ah, I refused to continue reading it online.

    7. Liar Game - Well, I love the series so far. They only got it online and I know they got a real live action J-drama, but I prefer to read it online while praying for the volume edition to come out in my country. They still got the series in my local weekly manga magazine (sorta like Shonen Jump weekly magazine) though but it wasn't that much fun reading it one-two chapter every 2 weeks.

Ah! I'm not sure you'll read all my typing so I'll stop here. Peace out!

  3. I enjoy any shojo manga or anime. In a way, I prefer manga, as I can take it wherever I want ^o^ Also, manga is the original, the way the mangaka wanted it, when the anime is adapted and changed and cut, etc.

  4. Manga, because it's fun just relaxing and reading the original works. Plus there's no need to worry about crappy English dubbed voices, LOL!

My favorite series are (in order): Naruto Shippuden, Naruto, and InuYasha. But those are only my favorites; I read quite a few others.

  5. anime i love anime but i'm not crazy i don't buy

    manga&Drama Cds i like bleach

  6. prince of tennis

  7. Most of the time it is much more entertaining to watch the Anime than read the manga. I usually only read the manga if there's a part of it that wasn't animated, like the last arc of the Rurouni Kenshin manga~ or Elfen Lied, where the Anime only covered a  certain amount of the manga.

My favorite Anime series is Mushishi~ and my favorite movies are Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, Spirited Away, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
