Manilla Flash likely to cruise to victory in Sunderland Greyhound Stadium Trophy
Mineola Manager is flying high after a couple of wonderful A1 wins. Self-confidence coupled with a good draw, his formula of success is almost ready. But Manilla Flash’s huge experience in open races will prove crucial in a pressure battle at Sunderland,
where six fast and furious hounds are all set to lock horns in the 450-metre Sunderland Greyhound Stadium Trophy on Wednesday, August 29, 2012.
Manilla Flash did nothing wrong in his last few appearances. On August 20th, the black dog registered a comprehensive win over 416 metres at Monmore. He kept running well, and notched up the runner-up spot last time out.
Although M. Daniels’ trainee missed the gold medal by half a length, challenging the giant like Lil Risky was a huge achievement. He is an experienced hound, and knows how to sway things in his favour. So, preferring a newcomer over him will not be a good
move.
Manilla Flash is going to face five powerful hounds, including Mineola Manager. The rest of the line-up comprises of Playfield Nikita, Witton Bound, Hats My Diamond and Witton Master. The action is due to begin at 21:45 GMT. The winning hound will collect
a cash prize worth £300.
Mineola Manager will surely make things tricky for Manilla Flash. He is progressing quite nicely, and his confidence would be at a high after three successive wins. However, it will still unsure whether he will be able to cope up with the pressure at this
level.
Playfield Nikita has the advantage of first trap, but her inconsistent run will be a concern for the punters. The black and white b***h was able to grab only third place, when returned to this track last week.
Hats My Diamond’s last poor performance is enough to suggest that he does not have bright chances. Witton Master is making his debut in this class, and will be under some pressure.
Witton Bound returned to the ring after four months of rest, but failed to resume his winning journey. G. Lynas’ trainee probably needs a few more races to regain his rhythm.
Mineola Manager is certainly in great form, but experience matters a lot at this level. So, Manilla Flash looks to be the most solid option for betting. Good luck to all the hounds.
