Mankind's Future?

Where will Mankind be in 500 years time? Good or Bad? We all know the Oceans are rising, and the World is getting Warmer! Food Shortages, Oil is Running out, Terrorism, Disease! We have No way of knowing for sure, but it would be Interesting to see what People think about the Future of Mankind!

Through innovation, we humans will survive for eternity, escape Earth at it's moment of doom, colonize our galaxy, and then other galaxies, and in trillions and trillions of years become technologist and intelligent enough to create our own heaven and revive the trillions of dead people from the past trillions years through complicated molecular revivals and fusions.

Who knows, we just have to try and chang eit for the best for the future generations, because neither me nor you is going to be around 500 yrs from now. I mean by that that we have got to do our best to try and cut on gases emmissions, try to save energy, and take whatever steps required for the maintenance and the survival of our race.

Humanity has had doomsayers since we could record it & probably far before.  The truth is that humans now have the keys to their own evolution via genetic engineering.  If we need to change to suit the environment, then we will do it & if we need to genetically engineer plants & animals to produce a food supply, we'll do that too.

However, because we have many that spend their time whinning instead of planning for the future, we may have a drastic reduction in population within the next 100 years.  Whatever happens, humans will learn from it & continue to move forward.  I see humans walking on planets around distant stars within 500 years. The top predator that fought its way up from prey 2 million years ago is not going to go out with a whimper.

Extinct because of its own greed and stupidity, leaving behind a filthy, uninhabitable world  where only cockroaches, scorpions, jelly fish and rats survive. Mancruel would be a more appropriate way of referring to us.

In the last 100 years, the human race has reached unprecedented heights in the development of science and industry, enabling man to reach the pinnacle of evolution.

On the other side he has also developed deadly weapons and instruments of mass destruction with which the whole world can be reduced to rubbles in a few days, leading to the extermination of man kind.

While the population of the globe is at the brink of explosion, creating scarcity of food, due to drop in availability of oil there is scope for world wars in the near future.

Looking at 500 years hence, unless the concept of a world government gains strength, and uniform adoption of laws beneficial to survival of humans with specific focus on availability of food, health care and amity among different races , the destruction of man kind cannot be postponed.

The recent spurt of terrorism seen in various parts of the world is due to the collapse of trust among human beings. No other living being kills its own kind in the way humans are indulging today.

If we wish  human race to survive, it is high time for world leaders to shed their narrow allegiance to their country, race and society and look at the interest of the world as a whole.

At the present juncture, we seem to be treading more on the path of destruction than on that of improvement. Let us hope that humans will survive the crisis by developing mutual trust and think in terms of welfare of the entire humanity.
