i have heard both worst and best about manly, what do you think ? does it categories as "central coast" or which place does better ?

narrabeen must be very nice ?

i have also heard a lot about melbourne and gov seems to push a lot in that sense. i would not be looking for a job, maybe open a small biz. kids are very young and we need convenience, at least for a start.

so we are looking for the pearl, idylic place to raise kids, lot of nature & outdoor activity with first rate structure,schooling..!

  1. Manly is not the 'Central coast', it is in the 'Northern beaches'. The central coast is the area immediately north of the Sydney area, ie Gosford, Wyong, Terrigal, The Entrance etc. Type 'Central coast map' into Google and you'll see where it is.

There are so many nice places, really anywhere along the NSW coast is lovely.  The northern beaches are of Sydney is great but fairly pricey. If you don't need to be so close to the city then pick a coastal town outside of Sydney, really any bigger centre will do, eg Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Forster, Central coast, Kiama, Bateman's Bay and many others. They are all absolutely gorgeous.

Good luck, and don't worry too much, you really won't go wrong anywhere.

  2. Move to Port Macquarie

Great schooling, Excellent laid back lifestyle, beaches like 5 mins away.....

I know it isn't where you want to go....but port has everything

    And it is really affordable

  3. Manly narrabeen melbourne their quite different.

I vote narabeen I live about 10 mins from their in newport and I have 2 friends that live their, it's very nice idylic place and It's not to busy, unlike melb and manly which are majorly busy it also has great schools close too it!

  4. Manly is Northern Beaches and very expensive.

If you want somewhere laidback and ideal for a family look into the Illawarra - Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama.

  5. Central Coast for me, but Melbourne's a beautiful city, why don't you do what I did, hire a motorhome and try them all out! you'll get a better idea then!

Whatever you decide good luck to you and your family.
