I've only ever spoken to this boy on my space and he's really intelligent and into english and films and has JUST made a film that IS being premiered and man do i feel inferior to him, we've been having conversation over my space and he said "would you like to get a bite to eat or something so i can talk to you about your love of intertexuality"

(we have a 'in' joke about intertextuality, silly really) but what the devil will i do? What if he finds me uninteresting, not attractive, boring?

ah advice please?

  1. Don't feel inferior. He may be an up-and-coming movie director, but he still goes to the toilet and his sh*t still stinks just like yours.

A good rule of thumb is to try to stick to "neutral" topics - avoid things like politics, s*x, religion. You obviously have a shared love of film so that will give you plenty to talk about, and if he's really going up in the world you can probably get him to talk quite a lot about his ambitions and what not.

Don't feel ashamed if your ambitions are more modest than his, and don't feel you have to "big yourself up" and compete with him on every level. He is not going to look down on you unless he's a completely arrogant a*shole, in which case you probably won't want to have anything to do with him anyway.

  2. Just look him up on google if he's a famous film maker. That way you can find out in advance all about him and what he's into. With that information you'll know what he likes, what he's into and therefore what to talk about.

  3. You just have to be yourself.  Its ok to let him know that youre feeling a little nervous and keep in mind that hes probably feeling the same way.

If you get along, great!  If not, it wasnt meant to be. Dont sweat it too much.  Have fun!

  4. Green,  relax and feel confident in yourself.  Be careful of hooking up with someone you have met on my space.  If the chemistry is there you will know soon enough.  If it's not, then it's time to roll on.

  5. i hav the same problem but with msn. also you should try putting this question in singles n relationships

  6. He's apparently interested in you and knows something about you because he's your brother's mate.

Just be yourself and see where things go. Hopefully it will work into something completely fab!
