Question:

Manning for McGahee?

Would you trade Eli Manning for Willis McGahee if you needed another RB and had Drew Brees as your primary QB?

McGahee is the primary ball carrier in Baltimore and should see plenty of action given the Ravens' QB situation while Manning has never lived up to his potential but will be overvalued because of the G-Men's Super Bowl win last year.

There was one reason Manning completed that pass to Tyree: luck.

So do you make this deal or try for a better RB?

  1. i wouldn't even think twice about accepting this trade..eli's over rated

  2. Do it. Everyone knows Brees will throw for more than 4000 yards with that deadly offense and Manning as you said never really lived up to his hype so....... And you said Willis would help your runningback situation and give you a lot more yards. I say go for it if you can find a sucker willing to do it.

  3. NO, Drew Brees needs to convince me hes a good starter. eli manning just had a great year. give him one more year. and the pass to tyree wasnt just luck, tyree had gum on his helmet that it stuck to, (if you watched the espys you know what im talking about)but mcgahee isn't worth eli manning. i have a feeling eli's gonna get really good like big brother peyton

  4. I would do the trade in an instant.  McGahee usually goes in the 2nd or 3rd round while Manning goes in like the 10 round or higher.  If you can find someone dumb enough to do it, you should do it.  On top of that, he is your backup who you will probably play once all year.

  5. Do the trade as fast as you can You wont be sorry

  6. yes i would defintely do that trade. McGahee is a top notch running back and will be relied on much more heavily in this season with the fact that the ravens have a weak starting quarterback. McGahee ahs shown that he can play with a weak offensive line back in buffalo so that loss of Jonathan Ogden will not effect him greatly. manning is one of those quarterbacks who will either be great or a bust. hes shown flashes of his potential but with drew brees as your quarterback you can afford to trade him away for a guarenteed productive player in mcGahee. also manning lost a key target in jeremy shockey while Brees gaiend him. brees has many more targets taht manning does (colston, bush, shockey). so in all brees will probably end up being the 3rd of 4th best fantasy quarterback this year. so yes defintely do this trade. McGahee wil give you consistent production week in and week out.

  7. I would do the trade without a doubt. If you have Brees you don't need Manning till Drew's bye week so why have Manning sitting on the bench when you can get a top 10 RB. You can usually get a QB of waivers for the week Brees is on his bye week.

  8. You should definitely do that trade. Even if you have a full complement of running backs, if Eli is a backup for you getting the running back will be more valuable. McGahee can fill in for you if you have injuries or he can provide trade value toward the end of the season.

And you can find another QB on the waiver wire to fill in when Brees is on bye.

  9. I think you answered your own question. If you have Brees, he will put up bigger numbers than Manning, and running backs are always the most valuable players in fantasy. If your trading partner wants to make the deal, then he is caught up in the "Eli hype." I don't think you will find anyone else to give you a better RB for Manning. Do it!
