Arsenal’s goal keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vito-Mannone-c36276 has revealed that he plans on taking over the number one spot at the Emirates, while he suggested that he could join AC Milan in the future.
The shot stopper has been filling in for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 this season, following the Polish keeper picking up a series of knocks.
In his absence, the Italian national has gone on to impress just about everyone with his performances, and has gotten many to tip him as being the player who will be the North London club’s new number one.
With the Gunners other goal keepers nearing recovery, Mannone has made it his mission to maintain his spot in the team, since he feels it is high time that he became the first choice keeper at the club.
"Now my goal is to take the starting spot," Mannone said recently.
"I want to be Arsenal's No.1."
The keeper also went on to reflect on his future, as he suggested that if an offer were to arrive for him to join AC Milan in the future, he might just be tempted to make the switch.
At the same time, he also stated that he wants to play for the Italian national team, which is something that would become a whole lot easier to do, if he was to play in the Italian Serie A, as opposed to the Premier League.
"In the future I'd return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and play in Serie A, perhaps with AC Milan, my favourite team," Mannone added.
"Besides, I hope to reach the national call."
It was previously revealed that Napoli were pondering over the option of making a move for Mannone, in order to make the youngster their new goal keeper.
However, with him strictly suggesting that he would only leave Arsenal to join Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 might jsut reconsider coming forward with an offer for the player.
Nonetheless, for the time Mannone is guaranteed to continue playing in between the sticks for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. His performances have been outstanding, and despite him making an error every now and then, he has been rather decent on the whole.
