Manny Pacqiaou vs Ricky Hatton?

Many who look at this question think its not really possible but it is, alot of talk b4 the end of 08 is he might fight a mega fight against manny pacqiou, this would be one h**l of a fight. Hatton will put the pressure on and pacqiaou ridiculous power with his left and his speed. So who wins this fight and how, Ricky "Hitman" Hatton vs Manny "Pacman" Pacqiao

i really dont think this fight would ever happen, but if it did, i think hatton would win. he is fighting in bigger weight than manny, and has fought bigger opponents.(tszyu)

i can't see this fight happening actually, ricky is too big for manny, and if it did happen i say hatton would win cuz he is the bigger fighter with the heavier shots

Hatton hands down ..... is kinda of funny how filipinos try and put manny up against all the great of other divisions when he will not even fight the greats of his own..... he barely decided to fight Marquez again 4 years later but was really decided from tremendous pressure from Marquezs camp the media and the public... but after he got cheap victories by challenging old spent legends.......Juan Manuel Marquez should put a good enough beating on Stache Man to end all discussion on wether Manny could beat Hatton or delahoya or Ali lol...... Even as much I would like Pacman, Hatton is gonna win this one. Pacquiao may be fast, strong and everything, But against a 2 higher class ahead of him its a different story. Pacquiao needs to prove a lot against lighter weights(D.Diaz and J.Diaz) before fighting the Hitman.

Also Pacquiao doesn't fight washed up fighter, People say a lot that their fighter will beat Pacman, but when their fighter is down they make tons of excuses such as "oh he's old and already shot".

Pacquiao avoiding Marquez? wasn't it the other way around. I think if you read some news, Marquez backed out at the rematch and headed for a $30,000 fight with Chris John.

Cheap victories over old legends huh?Voneric,tell me, does victories of Marquez was that too expensive compare to that of Pacquiao? Isn't it that Marquez was trying to avoid Pacquiao? You get the wrong info that Manny is avoiding Marquez, Manny will fight and beat Marquez, anytime, everytime.You dont want to accept reality that Manny's has already defeated those undefeated and knocked out those unknocked out. Let's just wait for March 15 and well see. With regards to Hatton, is he that bully enough to fight a much smaller fighter? Maybe he's not that good anyway for his weight division thus he's bein pitted to smaller guys.

That fight would mean that Manny Pacquiao would have to move up in weight to either lightweight (135) or junior welterweight (140). Either way, it would be a bad idea, especially against Ricky Hatton. As I have mentioned before, Pacquiao will sooner or later be exposed and defeated, if he continues to move up in weight. His style is not made to successfully go up against the bigger men, because of his wildness and being off balance.

I could easily see Hatton earning one or two knockdowns against Pacquiao and getting a decision win.

Manny's a great fighter, but Ricky Hatton's gonna kill him.  For all the strengths Pacquiao has as a fighter - power, speed and quickness - Hatton would still have tremendous edge because of his size and the natural strength and power that come with it.  Pacman is a superfeatherweight (130 lbs.) and he usually comes in at around 144 at fight time while Hatton is a natural welterweight  (147 lbs.).  If they fight at 147, which is most likely, then Hatton would come to the ring at almost 160 so that would be a 15-pound differential.  And don't forget, RIcky's also fast and powerful, and most of all, very comfortable at that weight.  Whereas, Manny will surely lose some of his speed and quickness if he goes up in weight.  I'd say, Ricky Hatton's gonna knock Manny senseless inside 5 rounds.

happen the reason i say it wont happen this year is because hatton is set to fight juan lazcano on the 24th 0r 31st of march and then he as said he wants to either fight ricardo torres or mallignaggi but if this fight was to happen then hatton would win hand down because hatton would just be to big and to strong at 140 lbs yeah thats right BUNDINI not 147lb hatton is not a natural welterweight he is a natural light welterweight and i dout hatton will move down to lightweight either

so if manny wants to fight hatton that means moving up 2 weight classes so maybe it would be better for manny to move up to lightweight first and fight the likes of juan diaz which i think manny plans on doing if he beats marquez

as i have heard that he wants to fight davis diaz at lightweight after the marquez fight
