Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez both confident of winning – Boxing news
Manny Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion), and Juan Manuel Marquez, who currently holds the World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and
The Ring Lightweight World Championship belts, are both confident of a win ahead of their much-anticipated clash.
Pacquiao and Marquez will meet each other for their trilogy fight on November 12, 2011 at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and Marquez believes his style will be the significant factor whereas Pacquiao on the other hand thinks his improved right hand
will take him to the glory.
The Mexican Dinamita, Marquez, who has won 53 of his 59 professional fights (1 Draw), with 39 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, claimed his style is the most difficult one for the Filipino star and therefore he will emerge victorious.
“They always say that styles make fights, and I think my style happens to be difficult,” Marquez told reporters while preparing for their scheduled 12-round bout. “All boxers have a difficult opponent, and I guess my style is the most difficult for Pacquiao.”
Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, who carries a record of winning 53 of his 58 professional fights (2 Draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, on the other hand stressed his improved right hand will be the key to this fight.
“I’m more experienced, especially in my strategy and techniques. I’m more improved in (throwing) my right hand, my movement side to side, and my timing,” Pacquiao said.
Pacquiao, who is currently rated as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, also added he wants to clear all doubts and thus he is extra motivated for this fight.
“This fight is really important to me because there’s that issue, the claims that he won the last two fights, and that’s why I’m very motivated with my training,” Pacquiao added.
There is not much time left when both these pugilists will be seen taking on each other. However, let’s see who wins this fight and becomes an overall winner.
