Manny Pacquiao: No matter what Bradley says I still have the hunger to win – Boxing News
Manny Pacquiao, the current WBO welterweight champion, arrived in Los Angeles through the Philippine Airlines Flight 102. Pacman arrived at the LAX International last night along with this trainer and other allies. His fans welcomed him, whereas the media
was there to cover the Filipino pride’s grand entry into the state.
When asked about his preparations for the fight, Pacquiao said, “No matter what Bradley says I still have the hunger to win. I had a great camp in the Philippines. No distractions at all. We are ready to step it up over the next four weeks at Wild Card.
This is a big fight for me. I can’t wait for June 9.”
On the other hand, Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer, said, “Maybe Bradley should come over to the Wild Card and see how hard Manny works in the ring. No one works harder – no one – and Manny is not ready to give up his throne. Manny is so serious. He gave
up playing basketball and that means a lot to him.”
Roach added that Manny is a serious and dedicated athlete who is moving towards a very big fight of his life. He further said that now Pacquiao will have his last training session at the Wild Card and that he promises Manny will ‘shoot the works’ when he
faces Bradley in the ring.
Pacquiao will face Timothy Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao will have his WBO welterweight on the line, while Bradley will bring his undefeated streak to the ring. For now, Pacquiao will begin his four-week training camp at the Wild
Card Gym owned by Roach from today onwards.
Timothy Bradley is currently an unbeaten boxer. He has been in the ring 28 times and has emerged victorious to date. For Pacquiao, it is a big challenge to take on someone like Bradley, yet the Filipino is confident that he will win. On the other hand, Bradley
thinks defeating Pacquiao is easy that the Filipino is overrated.
For now, both men are training hard to make sure nothing is left out during their training sessions, since this is a mega-bout for both of them.
