Manny Pacquiao assures fourth fight against Marquez would be different – Boxing News
Former WBO welterweight titlist Manny Pacquiao has assured fans that his fourth fight against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez would be different. The Filipino has already faced the Mexican thrice in the ring before, winning two fights via majority and unanimous
decision while the first one ended up in a tie.
Pacquiao who is now more desperate than ever to score a victory believes he has it all to put down the Mexican fighter this time. The Filipino will be entering the ring following his controversial split decision loss to unbeaten American fighter Timothy
Bradley, when he lost his title. Considering the fact that Pacquiao was not much impressive in his last encounter against Marquez last year in December, one could say that the Filipino proud has lost his sensation.
Nevertheless, Pacquiao dares to challenge all those who think he is over. According to the Filipino, he will show the naysayers that he still is the raging fighter who can put down his opponents in minutes.
“It’s going to be different compared to the last three fights that we had, and I believe it’s going to be a good fight. My focus for this training camp is aggressiveness, so in the fight I can give a good fight,” said Pacquiao in his recent interview.
Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Roach has already revealed that the Filipino wants a knockout this time, in order to put an end to the ongoing rivalry once and for all. However, Marquez thinks it is not as easy as they are putting it. According to Marquez, it is
time for him to score a dominant victory over Pacquiao, and this time he wants to ensure nothing goes wrong.
“We’re not relying on one strategy and movement. We try to study different moves, different strategies, different techniques so we can use it in the fight,” added Pacquiao, who knows this time he is facing a hungrier Marquez who would do anything to win
the show.
Since he has not shined in his last two fights, a win over Marquez is what Pacquiao eagerly looking forward to in order to score a fight against WBC welterweight titlist Floyd Mayweather Jr.
