Manny Pacquiao beats Shane Mosley in United States – Boxing news
The Filipino super-star, Manny Pacquiao dominated Sugar Shane Mosley from the beginning by keeping him under pressure throughout the rest of rounds fighting at MGM Grand, Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA. Pacquiao did not perform extra-ordinarily well against
the experienced fighter. But for the love of his country and fans, he fought to survive and in the end was satisfied with his performance.
Pacman scored the third consecutive lop-sided 12-round decision on Saturday night. The Destroyer made the successful defence of his World Boxing Association’s (WBO) Welterweight World Title. He won the two ring-side score-cards in every round of the fight.
Mosley fought against the best opposition in the world. After losing, he spoke to the press talking about his rival, “He has exceptional power, power that I've never been hit like this before.”
Mosley went to the floor for the first time, when he could not predict a fantastic left-inside jaw-breaker delivered by Pacquiao in the third round. Mosley looked confused after taking that punch. Mosley looked reluctant to carry on and decided to stay away
in an effort to survive.
It was totally strange that a boxer, who has never been stopped by anyone in 18 years in his professional career, was struggling to take this bout till the end.
Pacquiao won all the three judges’ score-cards with 120-108 points in second and 119-108 in third in his favour.
It was totally a similar type of fight for Mosley when he fought against Floyd Mayweather Jr. a year ago. But this time he was not able to land even a single punch like he did against Floyd. However, in the tenth round, when Mosley did not even hit a single
punch, the referee, Kenny Baylesshe by mistake ruled that Mosley has knocked down Pacquiao.
No doubt, Pacquiao did put his level best, but he is not satisfied with his performance.
The Pacquiao’s trainer Bob Arum said, “Some of these guys are pretty good fighters, but nobody in their whole experience has ever faced somebody like Pacman. Everybody is going to look the same way.”
The 39-year-old, Mosley after losing this fight is very confident and satisfied with his performance. According to him it was his best effort despite of losing every round.
