Manny Pacquiao believes he is ready to fight Bradley – Boxing News
WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao believes he is ready to fight unbeaten American fighter Timothy Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to Pacquiao, his training is nearly at the end and just some minor improvements need to be
made.
In his recent interview, speaking about his training regime, the Filipino champion said, “Everything is there, power, strength, speed, stamina. Except for some minor improvements, I’m actually ready to fight. We’ve also set in place our game plan and strategy.
We just need to finalize them.”
On the other hand, Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach confidently said, “Perfect, everything's perfect. We’ll just be trying to maintain all the things we gained the past six weeks since we started the camp and improve a little bit more on things we still
lack. The power in his left is back and so does his right. He’s totally regained his quickness and he moves well. He’s really good.”
Currently, Manny Pacquiao is in Los Angeles, training at Roach’s Wild Card Gym. Pacquiao, who became the centre of attention after his negative remarks regarding g*y people, said he has already apologised and that he had never meant to hurt anyone. According
to Pacquiao, the one who published the interview misquoted his lines. Pacquiao further added that all of that has not really distracted him from his training. The Filipino believes he is highly focused towards beating Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas.
For now, Pacquiao is trying his level best to understand Bradley’s fighting style, which is quite unique. According to most analysts and fighters, Bradley uses questionable techniques, which is the major reason as to why most fighters refrain from fighting
him. Pacquiao, on the other hand, is quite confident that no matter what Bradley does, he will not be able to beat him (Pacquiao).
In his interview last week, the Filipino champion said that he is 100% ready to give Bradley a taste of his fist and that Bradley will be finished soon. Even Roach believes that the bout will not last for more than 6 rounds and will end with Pacquiao knocking
out Bradley.
