The Pac-Man, Manny Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion), is fully geared up ahead of his highly-anticipated trilogy bout with Juan Manuel Marquez, as the
Filipino star claimed he is a two-fisted fighter now.
The Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, will take on the current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Champion, Marquez, on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and he thinks
he Marquez will see a much improved version of him this time.
“Which of us has improved more? I have improved a lot. I am a more complete fighter than when we fought previously. I am now a two-fisted fighter,” Pacquiao said in an interview to The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, who is one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world, also supported his fighter. The Master Roach stated this time his man will surprise Marquez, who is more commonly known as the Mexican Dinamita.
“Marquez will be surprised when he faces this version of Manny. He no longer fights in one direction or with one hand,” Roach said. “Manny has become a complete fighter.”
Pacquiao and Marquez met each other for the first time back in May 2004 and their bout ended up in a highly controversial draw. During the fight, Pacquiao caught Marquez cold in the first round and knocked him down thrice before Marquez showed great courage
and bounced back to win majority of rounds.
Roach also commented on Pacquiao’s previous fights. He remarked Pacquiao somehow got self-satisfied that he has won Marquez and it was a big mistake from his side.
“The last two times they fought, Manny got complacent after knocking Marquez down,” he said. “Instead of fighting his own fight, he followed Marquez and began fighting his fight - big mistake.”
The Pacquiao-Marquez upcoming fight is one of the most eagerly awaited bouts of this year as it will decide who the real winner is. However, let’s see if Pacquiao can really beat Marquez this time.
