Manny Pacquiao dares to disagree with President Obama’s g*y marriage support – Boxing News
Manny Pacquiao, the current WBO welterweight champion, disagrees with US President Obama’s support for g*y marriage. According to the Filipino pride, everyone should follow God’s advice and avoid getting into practices that prohibited in the bible.
While President Obama thinks same s*x marriages should be allowed, the Filipino pound-for-pound king considers it a sin. After Obama expressed his support towards the issue, Manny Pacquiao said in an interview, “If a man lies with a man as one lies with
a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” Pacquiao quoted Leviticus 20:13 of the bible to justify his disagreement towards g*y marriages.
On the other hand, even President Obama has not left any stone unturned. Even the US president went ahead to explain his view by quoting, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” He then explained, “At a certain point I've just concluded that for
me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-s*x couples should be able to get married.”
Manny Pacquiao has embraced Christianity to its utmost recently. He has sold his roosters, which he used to use for c**k fighting, and he has also sold his casino shares. His religious turn in life has disturbed many, including his promoter Freddie Roach
who thinks Manny is not as serious about the sport as he once was. According to Roach, Manny does not want to hurt anyone because God does not want him to hurt people.
Pacquiao will be defending his titles against the unbeaten American fighter Timothy Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Filipino champion is currently in the USA, training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.
Timothy Bradley is an unbeaten fighter to date, which makes this fight a tough one for Pacquiao. Pacquiao has his titles and his pride on the line against Bradley. Therefore, he needs to concentrate on his training more than ever this time if he wants to
win.
