Manny Pacquiao responds to Timothy Bradley’s ‘Chicken Chicken’ comment – Boxing News
Rarely do we see Filipino fight sensation Manny Pacquiao sensation Manny Pacquiao degrade his opponent. The former WBO welterweight titlist is usually quite respectful towards his foes, but not this time. It seems like current WBO welterweight champion Timothy
Bradley’s expletive profane comments did not sit too well with the Filipino.
“I already beat Bradley,” said the former World Boxing Organisation welterweight champion in an interview with Yahoo Sports. “Everyone knows it. I just didn't get my hand raised.”
While Bradley thinks Pacquiao acted like a chicken by opting to fight Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao asserts he did not feel the need of beating Bradley again.
“Before the fight, all I heard him say was, 'I'm going to fight toe-to-toe with Manny Pacquiao,'” added Pacquiao.
“Then, when the fight happened, he ran. The fight wasn't that exciting because he ran and didn't do what he said he'd do.”
It seems like the Filipino has now decided to respond to Bradley’s remarks. Initially, when Pacquiao was taking too long to decide whether he wants Marquez or Bradley, the current WBO champion believed it would be him. However, since the Pac-man went onto
schedule a fight against Marquez for December 8, Bradley is now fuming.
“What the public needs to know is Pacquiao, their No. 1 dude, doesn't care about his loss,” said Bradley upon hearing that Pacquiao has decided to fight Marquez for the fourth time.
“In my eyes, chicken (expletive), chicken, chicken, chicken. I'm too much for these boys, man.”
Probably, Bradley just took a step too far and insulted the Pac-man like never before. Unfortunately, in this scenario, Bradley does not have a say since most boxing fans around the globe are already condemning him.
Bradley won Pacquiao’s WBO title on June 9 at the MGM Grand in La Vegas via split decision. Most analysts and fans were of the view that Pacquiao was the victor and so the crowd booed at Bradley. The unbeaten American swore to fight Pacquiao again to get
the respect he deserves as a champion. However, it seems like Bradley’s dreams of defeating the ‘most explosive fighter in the world’ fair and square just shattered after the Filipino decided to fight Marquez.
