Manny Pacquiao says he is confident using his right hand in the ring – Boxing news
Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion, has claimed he will be using his right hand as an effective weapon
in his highly-anticipated trilogy bout with the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez.
The Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, and Marquez, who currently holds the World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Championship belts, will lock
horns on November 12, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and Pacquiao has insisted he will bring a lot more intensity to this battle.
Pacquiao, who holds a record of winning 53 of his 58 professional fights (2 Draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, first met Marquez back in May 2004 and their bout ended in a much
controversial draw. Their second meeting which came after four years also ended up in a controversy, as this time Pacquiao was awarded a split decision victory. Therefore, Pacquiao knows their third fight will decide who the real winner is.
The current pound-for-pound best in the world, Pacquiao, stated he fought his previous two bouts with Marquez left-handed and he is not going to repeat the same mistake once again.
While speaking on his inclusion, Pacquiao told Ringtv, “I am planning to be different for this third fight because I am a different fighter from our two previous fights. I move better laterally in both
directions than before. I am more comfortable using my right hand. Before I was left-hand happy. Now I am more confident in using my right hand as an effective weapon. It’s a lot stronger then the last times we fought. I am so focused for this fight. I will
bring a lot more intensity to this battle.”
Marquez, who has desperately waited three years to avenge his defeat, is a winner of 53 of his 59 professional fights (1 Draw), including 39 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout. Moreover, he is
currently rated as the fifth pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. Thus there is no doubt Pacquiao versus Marquez 3 will be one that all boxing fans are awaiting.
