Manny Pacquiao says his upcoming fight with Juan Manuel Marquez will be the best – Boxing news
Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion), is fully geared up ahead of his much-anticipated trilogy bout with the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel
Marquez, as the Filipino star has claimed this fight will be the best so far.
The number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Pacquiao, who has won 53 of his 58 professional fights (2 Draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, stated he is a two-fisted fighter now and people will see him fighting with his both
hands this time.
Pacquiao told Fighthype.com, “I think what will make this fight the best of the three is that I have become a more complete fighter. Now I have a right hand and lateral movement that I didn’t have in the first two fights. It will be the best fight yet.”
The 38-year-old Marquez, who currently holds the World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Championship belts, has always claimed he was robbed in his previous two fights with Pacquiao.
Moreover, Marquez recently went to Philippines wearing a t-shirt saying that he beat Pacquiao in their previous two fights. Therefore, Pacquiao wants to clear all doubts by winning this time.
“I don’t feel added pressure. This will be a fight that will end all of the controversy that Juan Manuel Marquez has brought up over the previous two fights. It will answer all questions. I will utilize my speed, my power and my movement. I don’t plan on
surviving; I plan on winning,” Pacquiao added.
Marquez first met Pacquiao back in 2004 and their bout ended up a highly controversial draw. Their second came after four years in March 2008 and it again had a huge element of controversy in it, as this time Pacquiao was awarded a split decision over the
Mexican.
Thus, it is fair to say that their concluding fight will certainly be an explosive one. However, all that is left to see is whether Pacquiao can really beat Marquez once again or not.
