Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez – The Bradley Factor! (Part 2) – Boxing Special
While Bradley thinks, he deserve every bit of respect as champion, for most fans he is just another creation of promotion agencies. Speculations suggest that Bradley will be facing Manny Pacquiao’s sparring partner Ruslan Provodnikov in December, which is
actually quite a moment of dismay for the WBO champion. He could not get his hands on Pacquiao so he went for his sparring partner, someone who is not even known outside his country Russia.
During the interview with The Times, Bradley was asked if he could have asked for more against Pacquiao or if being the champion has added to his value.
“I am the champion, I could’ve asked for more, but, obviously, it didn’t matter. They could’ve paid me $5 million again, but they didn’t want to do that. It’s a business, and everyone knows that,” said the unbeaten American.
“I just want the next-best thing. A fight that makes business sense and turns heads. I’ll fight the best in the world. You know that, because I just did it. It doesn’t matter who, as long as it’s a competitive fight,” he added, pointing it towards Pacquiao.
“Hopefully, Pacquiao doesn’t retire, because I’d definitely like to get in there with him again healthy and show him what I got,” he added when asked about if he thinks Pacquiao would retire before fighting him, as the Filipino is already talking retirement.
Contrary to the usual, Bradley’s victory over Pacquiao was not just conceived by fans as a fraud but even authorities were suspicious about it. The World Boxing Organisation held a fight review, with five judges from all over the world. Every judge scored
the fight in Pacquiao’s favour with a wide margin. It was yet another blow to Bradley’s reputation and an addition to Pacquiao’s list of achievements.
Now, Bradley is hoping to face Pacquiao as soon possible in order to avenge the humiliation. The ‘Desert Storm’ holds a record of 29 wins and 0 losses but he just cannot connect with the fans. Considering his achievements in the division and his fighting
skills, he should have been among the most demanded fighters today.
Bradley, you need to change something there!
