Manny Pacquiao wants Marquez to bring the fight to him – Boxing News
Filipino fight sensation Manny Pacquiao wants Marquez to bring the fight to him this time. Pacquiao has asserted that this time the fight should be different and Marquez should make it possible. According to the former WBO champion, in all previous fights,
Marquez ran away from Pacquiao, which made the fight a bit dull.
“I think that the things that we can change is that if he'll fight toe-to-toe, and exchanging punches,” said Pacquiao on Wednesday during a conference call for the fight.
“I think that he needs to do that because he's been claiming that he won the fight, and you're claiming that you won the fight, and you just back off, back off. It's not good for the people claiming that, 'Yeah, I won the fight, but in the fight, I'm always
backing off, backing off, waiting for the punches of my opponent,” he added.
According to Pacquiao, if Marquez claims he defeated him all three times then he should prove it this time by bringing the fight to him. Pacquiao has repeatedly asserted that Marquez is a good counter puncher but he hardly gets aggressive to add that much
needed thrill to the fight. Whether Marquez likes it not, Pacquiao speaks the truth.
On December 8, both fighters will go head to head against each other for the fourth time. Marquez wants to knock out Pacquiao this time, to ensure the rivalry ends with him dominating the show. On the other hand, Pacquiao wants a knockout victory too, to
make sure nobody ever doubts that he was better than him.
Pacquiao’s rivalry with Marquez has definitely been one of the biggest in the history of boxing. Although both of them have fought thrice with Pacquiao winning the last two fights while the first one ended in a tie, fans still crave for more. Most of them
want a definite end to the saga instead of an end with a split decision, which Manny won last time.
A win for Pacquiao will make him superior to Marquez, while a win for the latter means finally defeating the biggest rival of his career.
