Question:

Manny Ramirez wanted to stay with the red sox

Of all the Manny moments in Boston, the last ranks as one of the most confounding. Within an hour after Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein informed Manny Ramírez he had been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers Thursday, Ramírez's agent, Scott Boras, called the Sox back, according to a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations. If the Sox dropped the option years on his contract - which they had agreed to do if they traded him - Boras said Ramírez would not be a problem the rest of the season.

For the Sox, the source said, Ramírez's pledge of good behavior only served as a tacit admission that his disruptive conduct of the last couple of weeks had been calculated, and they had had good cause to suspect more was in the offing if they did not trade him. The Sox told him thanks but no thanks, what was done was done, and pack plenty of sunscreen

Can u believe he wanted to stay after what he said about the red sox?

  1. Wow he just realized he dropped to a club who's playing under .500 and is probably regretting the fact that he went from one of the best clubs in the AL to a half-decent club in the NL. I bet he misses Ortiz already. I really don't care if he's upset after the way he talked about the Red Sox.

  2. He'll wish he had stayed.

  3. Manny is like a little kid. If his parents (like the Red Sox) say you have to do this he will say NO! If they want him not do to something he will do it! He says things to get attention and sometimes doesn't believe things he says. He is a contrarian and loves getting bad attention.

    I can believe it.

  4. Your link wont load on my computer =[

Where can I find this? I would like to read it.

  5. Considering the D-Backs are starting to go back to their winning ways and will most likely win the NL West, he wishes he was still with the Red Sox.

  6. Lets see He welcomed a Trade but He also would've be Okay with the RED SOX keeping him, Since Manny is Being Manny He doesn't mind either way.

  7. Clearly, he did not want to stay with the Red Sox. If he really wanted to stay, he would have cleaned up his act.

  8. He DID NOT want to stay, the weather reeks the ony thing he liked were his loyal fans,  And although the DODGERS are not as good this year Ill bet theyll kill the sox in the next years to come, by the way the DODGERS DID NOT get SWEPT by the ANGELS on both series, MANNY WILL make HISTORY AS A DODGER

  9. It's difficult to understand what Manny wanted but he's like the boy who cried wolf.

After all his antics- what could he really expect the Sox to do?

  10. i been a manny fan since he was with the indians my plate is 24manny

scott boris should be banned from anyones agent he turned manny

against the redsox but the sox should have given him his option in spring training he was all fired up to play and brought us 2 world series

theo wasted alot of money on nothing in the past years he let the best right handed hitter ever get away it will not be the same excitement

last nights game was boring manny would have ended it in the 9th with a walkoff if they don't make the playoffs there will be h**l to pay in boston they dealt with manny for 7+ years had him trated for arod put him on waivers and he brushed it off and played like the hall of famer he is it's a sad day ////////////////
