the Reds for the donkey dunner there pissed cuz he came in a day before a game and said he couldnt go but later was found in the hitting cage. He didnt take the proper treatment for an injury. He wont run out a ground ball 100% and youve seen his antics

Manny being Manny, just from memory:

2002.  Demanding to be traded.  The Red Sox put him on waivers, but there were no takers.

2003.  Too sick to play, but not to go out to dinner with Yankee player Enrique Wilson.

2004.  Drops a pop up that would have been the last out in a D. Lowe shutout allowing the tying run to score.  When asked about it later, he merely says, oh well, there goes my golden glove.

2005.  He went on strike July 29 to July 31.  He came back on August 2d as a pinch hitter and got a game winning single .  August 3d (I was there) he hit a 3 run homer then literally crashed into Edgar Renteria, causing him to be removed from the game.  First observed taking a bathroom break inside the left field wall during a pitching change.

2006.  Out hurt for an extended period of time.

2008.  Cell phone call from the wall during a pitching change.  Pushing down the traveling secretary for not getting him enough free tickets to a game in Houston.  Pushing Youkilis for taking the game too seriously.  Being too hurt to face Joba Chamberlain on 2 separate occasions.  Rolling over a ball in left field in Anaheim.  Now demanding to be traded.

Of course during this time, he has hit literally hundreds of home runs and was the World Series MVP in 2004.

if the red sox's trade Manny they are going to be sorry he is a great player and he is just bringing in fun to the game and everyone loves it. but if he goes some ware else he won't do all the funny things that everyone loves.

How unfair to the Boston faithful is this?  With any luck if Manny is indeed traded, he will go to a NL team. No longer will he be a Yankee killer behind the plate.

The Sox are pissed cuz Manny acts like he's doing them a favor by playing for them.  He's a joke.  Granted he's one of the greatest hitters of our time; he still takes the game for granted and acts like he's above everyone and everything that goes on on that playing field.  You know it's a problem when even his own teammates can't stand him.  It's gonna be tough for the Sox to move him cuz he has a no trade clause in his contract; I honestly can't see any team that would want to put up w/ his B.S. anyway.  He's not a leader.

I don't think he's going anywhere til off season.  I guess we're going to have to wait and see where he ends up, but it's not going to be until the seasons over.

I don't think the Sox are pissed with Manny; everyone in Boston is used to his b.s. Managment hasn't said a word about him. This is Manny trying to keep himself in the spotlight during his contract year. He's having a less than mediocre year and wants to push the Team to pick up his option.

Let him go! I'd take a decent reliever for him.......
