If Mccourt is willing to pay 18.5 million for Andruw why not 25 million for Manny.

  1. The way I see it, the owner will ship Jones off somewhere relieving a lot of cap space so they can re-sign Manny to whatever contract he wants.

I've really warmed to the idea of Manny Ramirez in Los Angeles. I mean, he already has half the homeruns that Andruw Jones has (2) in just two games.

  2. i hope he stay i love him already

  3. he will! don't worry! after getting rid of bum ,jones, there will be extra money for manny!

  4. Come on, we all know he is worth no where near 25 million. But I'm sure Colletti will some how get suckered by Boras into signing him to a big deal.

  5. You don't seriously want your team to offer Manny $25M/year, do you? Manny is already past his prime at 36, and he's only going to get worse. Whichever team signs him is going to seriously overpay. It would be (yet another) huge mistake by the Dodgers.

smith.lucy23, the Dodgers won't be getting rid of Jones until after they pay him another $15M next year.

  6. Manny says alot of things. Never believe everything he says.

  7. Why would you want the Dodgers to give $25M to a one-dimensional, wack-job slugger whose power is obviously declining? When the Dodgers fail to make the playoffs again despite having the dreadlocked freak in their lineup maybe management will wake up and see that there's a reason other teams aren't competing for these overpriced losers they keep signig. Hey! Maybe they can sign Mike Hampton as a free agent. He'll be a steal at $10-12M a year.
