Manny pacman aka the "mexican assasin"?

everytime i watch manny fight, he has a million fans rooting for him, i wonder how the latino community views manny? do they like him, or do they hate him, manny has capitilized on the likes of berrera, solis, morales, larios, velaquez, and marquez. thats quite a feat giving mexican is world renown for great boxing legends, yet a little asian guy from a small island country gets the best of them, over and over and over again

Well, Manny's a Pacman for a reason. But the just-concluded fight with Marquez? I don't know. If Manny didn't knock Marquez down in 3rd, the judges would have given the victory to Marquez.

I have high respects for Pacquiao. I should, since I'm a Filipino. It is a rare feat to unite a country, reduce the crime rate to virtually zero, and make the people forget about local politics.

However, I'm not sure Manny has given a good show on the fight with Marquez. Marquez fought with uncanny precision, and his counterattack punches were on the mark. Manny won by just a point, but the truth is both fighters were so evenly matched that if they announced Marquez as the winner, I would not have been the least surprised.

I think the press gave him that nickname and he kind of liked it.  He did say he didn't want Mexicans to think he has no respect for them, which he says he does.  He also said in no uncertain terms that he had always had great respect for all the Mexican fighters, after all, without them he would probably not have as many exciting fights.

And, most of all, remember that the Philippines and Mexico have always maintained friendship and cultural relations over the years.  Filipinos have Latin culture.

Boxing fans in general have to like Pacman.  He is ultra quick and powerful.  He has KO power and is always exciting. JMM has proven his greatest adversary.  I thought Pac won but it was so close that before they retire they have to do it one more time.

Great boxer from the Philippines. but I think the bout should have been tie..this would have forced Paquito to 3rd match.

But pac came out from the fight physically hurt. he got hit on the ribs really hard and the eye was shut. Marquez cut was a headbutt that lead to a gross cut.

One thing I don't understand in the first match Marquez went down 3 times and ended in a tie. This match Marquez goes down one time and pac gets the win. Can some one explain this one.
