im watching espnews right now and it said the red sox and marlins are in serious talks about manny ramirez going to florida?! did u hear about this?

Heard about it, but I dont think its going to happen. The Marlins are too cheap and would have to give up a lot of prospects for what is ultimately a 2 month rental. If the Marlins wanted short-term success, they would do it in a heartbeat, but if they want success in the longterm, and Im sure they do, they wouldnt go through with this deal.

Very possible, the Redsox if they make the trade will pay for manny's 2008 contract and the Marlins won't have to pay anything except for what seems to be hermida and a farm hand.
