  1. i agree 100%

  2. Everytime Pac moves up weight, you hear people say he won't be better. Time and time again he has proven his critics wrong. No evidence needed. He's already proven it with his gloves and not his mouth.

135lbs is already his body's ideal weight and his power and speed is already accustomed to that weight. He's finding it hard to keep 130lbs already. He's already been fighting above this weight lately during fight night. He'll be as dominant in this weight category as he is at 130lbs. Moving up any higher than this though is another thing.

I will definitely doubt his capability at welterwight. But then again, he will just prove it with his gloves should this happen. He's a very disciplined and an animal when it comes to training.

Every year you hear naysayers say this stuff about Pac but year after year he proves his caliber in the ring. No one can argue that fact. He's got the fights and belts to prove it. And in 3 weight classes already I might say.

  3. It's nice to be bold but not overbearance.  Let's just continue hoping for his victory but no point of being so cocky.

  4. If the weight at 135 doesn't work against him he should have no problem beating Diaz. But like i said i dont know how Manny will do at lightweight.

  5. I'd love to see Manny do just that, but I think it won't be that easy.  First of all, Diaz is a natural lightweight (135) so he's definitely bigger than Pacman especially come fight time where he might come in at almost 150 lbs.  On the other hand Pacquiao is a natural superfeatherweight (130) and usually comes to the ring at 144.  If he tries to approximate Diaz's expected weight at fight time, he might just get bloated and be slow and sluggish as a result.  I think he needs at least one tune-up fight as a full-fledged lightweight before taking on Diaz.  Secondly, David Diaz is no pushover.  He's a sleek boxer with decent power.  He outboxed and outhustled Eric Morales although Eric, as we all know, was no longer the fighter that he was by then.  As great as he is, Manny needs to study Diaz first.  I'd rather see him defend his new title at least a couple of times to solidify his stature as the greatest at 130.  A rematch with Marquez would be most welcome.

  6. thumbs up to bundini, that sums it up for me....this is going to be a tougher fight for manny than some realise.
