Whilst the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is keen to appoint the former India all-rounder, Manoj Prabhakar, as their head coach for the 2011-12 season, the the latter is yet to decide on accepting the offer of HCA.
The decision to rope in Prabhakar as the chief coach of state team was taken at Hyderabad Cricket Association’s executive committee meeting. The meeting was chaired by the former Indian off-spinner and the current president of the association, Arshad Ayub.
Prabhakar, the 48-year-old former India all-rounder from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arshad-Ayub-c45529. However, he said that he has not yet decided on taking up the offer, adding that he will reach some
decision in the next two days.
"Yes, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arshad-c45521 has contacted and they want me to coach Hyderabad next season,” said Prabhakar while talking to the media reporters on Saturday. “He is a dear friend, but I haven't yet decided on taking up the offer. I will take a call on the next two days,"
he added further.
The Uttar Pradesh cricketer debuted for India in April 1984 with a One Day International against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in Sharjah and went on to represent the country in 130 ODIs, compiling 1858 runs and claiming 157 wickets at an average of 28.87.
He debuted on the Test arena in December 1984 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 at Delhi. Playing 39 Tests for India, he scored 1600 runs and picked up 96 wickets.

medium pacer for the upcoming season. The sources claimed that the DDCA coach has felt “insulted” and might accept the HCA offer.
However, if the Delhi District Cricket Association decides to renew Prabhakar’s two-year-contract in the next couple of days, he might end up declining the offer of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 Cricket Association.
