The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven defender agent Mino Raiola has insisted that a move to Craven Cottage will suit his client perfectly, though, he admitted that there is nothing concrete at the moment.
PSV Eindhoven right-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stanislav-Manolev-c33925, has long been linked with a move away from Philips Stadion in the ongoing January transfer window to join a club in the English Premier League.
If rumours are to be believed, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham are taking keen interest in acquiring the services of the former Litex Lovech full-back.
In addition, several clubs from German Bundesliga and Russian Premier League have also expressed keen interest in luring the Bulgarian defender away from Philips Stadion in the ongoing winter transfer market.
And the 27-year-old’s agent, Mino Raiola, has made it clear that there is nothing concrete regarding his client’s move away from the Eredivisie powerhouse at the moment. However, the 45-year-old agent has insisted that a move to Fulham will suit his client
perfectly.
“Fulham would be a beautiful club for him. But at the moment there's nothing concrete”, Raiola was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
Reports indicate that the Cottagers head coach, Martin Jol, has set his sights on Manolev as a perfect replacement for Stephen Kelly, who has recently joined Reading.
Kelly, the 29-year-old, had an expiring contract at Craven Cottage that ran until the summer of 2013, and the club management opted to sell the defender rather than losing him free at the end of the season.
Manolev, who has been plying his trade at Philips Stadion since the summer of 2009, has thus far represented the Eindhoven giants in well over 50 Eredivisie games, netting three goals along the way.
His consistent performances since the start of the season have garnered him plenty of interest from abroad, and it seems like the 27-year-old will be moving abroad for greener pastures before the January transfer window slams shut.
The Bulgarian international has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the summer of 2014. However, reports indicate that an offer in the region of three million Euros would be enough to acquire the services of the right-back.
