The former Sporting Gijon boss was present at the Valdebebas, overseeing Jose Mourinho’s implemented training routines.
The dynamic world of football took another turn as once bitter rivals, Jose Mourinho and Manolo Preciado, have now turned into friends.
On a recent trip to Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manolo-c23349 Preciado visited Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid’s training ground in order to pick up a trick or two from the ‘Special One’.
The experienced manager has been out of work since early February, being relieved of his responsibilities at El Molinon after six years in charge of the struggling La Liga outfit.
In search of greener pastures, Preciado is determined to utilize the extra time he has on his hands, his first stop being Jose Mourinho’s training ground in Madrid.
On his trip to Valdebebas, the 54-year-old tactician revealed his great affection for his Portuguese counterpart, and praised him for his achievements in the footballing world.
"I'm here to watch Real Madrid in action and use this period of inactivity to learn, improve and observe different work methods.”
"Mourinho and I have a magnificent relationship right now," Preciado told Real Madrid’s official website. "I truly appreciate his behaviour and he also regards me in high esteem.”
After watching the Real Madrid stars on the training ground and after noticing their daily regimen, an overawed Preciado stated that it is easy to understand how Los Blancos perform at their established high standards.
The Cantabrian coach also took out time to praise Real Madrid’s performances in the current season and believes Madrid will have a trophy-laden campaign.
"I believe that they're going to have a good season. This is football, so you can never say who is certainly going to win the league championship, but everything points towards Real Madrid taking the trophy this year.”
So far in the bid for their 32nd La Liga title, Jose Mourinho’s charges have shown a remarkable away form, dropping a measly 5 points out of the available 36 on the road.
Los Blancos take on the challenge of Real Betis in their next La Liga match as they look to continue their impressive form.
